FAQs

You should expect your coffee to arrive within 3-5 business days.

For Subscriptions – deliveries are on set days, every two weeks (see Subscription product for next delivery date).

With a subscription you will receive a mixture of our different blends, including any interesting single origins we are roasting at the time. We like to offer people some variety. However, if you would prefer to choose just one particular blend, you can specify this in the notes section when making your order.

We take a holistic approach – we look at the individual estates where the beans originate from and look closely at their farming practices and worker conditions. We endeavor to only use beans from farms with sound, sustainable practices – and we will use them IF quality of the bean is up to scratch.

If they happen to be Fair Trade or Rainforest Alliance certified beans, then that’s great. But there are many farms around the world producing amazing coffee with sound practices and worker conditions in place, but do not have the means to achieve certification.

Basically we are happy to support any farms we see as doing the right thing and producing quality coffee.

How can you trust us? Well, it’s really your call. All we can do is tell you our philosophy on sourcing beans, tell you as much about the bean origin as possible and answer any further questions you may have. We believe we’re taking an ethical approach and it’s hugely important to us. The fact that you’re reading this means you care about where coffee comes from too – and that’s a good thing.
